Well, day 5 has....came and went! Thank God!!! These kids are slowly killing me! I had no side effects. Non from switching from 1 pill to 2, none from taking one at night! NONE! That's awesome. My big sis says I am a little cranky, and I did tell the hubby not to bother coming home from work, but I think that is just me today! Thank God they both still love me and are being super understanding about everything. Maybe I will be able to repay them for being my support through this. The hardest thing. I beleive will be being around my in-laws. Every one of them smoke, so for a few days - a week, I will stear clear of them.

I went to town (and since I live in the middle of nowhere, the nearest store open past sunset is 20-25 min away) this evening to get dinner (didn't feel like cooking after basketball). While I was in town, I noticed two things. One, I only had one cigarette left. Two, I forgot my wallett at home. I had two choices...I had $15 in my truck that I could spend. I could spend it on food or cigarettes. Needless to say, I put my kids first. I bought $13.00 worth of food at Sonic and was left with $2. Can't buy smokes with $2. Didn't really want to go all the way home, then back to town, soooooo......I will smoke one tonight and maybe, just maybe not buy another pack. If I do, then fine and dandy. I don't "have" to quit for two more days. And if I don't smoke, then EVEN BETTER!!

So this is my plans for quit day and the days after...
*Clean. Alot. With bleach. Any smoker knows that after you use bleach, cigarette smoke tastes like poo! So we will have a totally clean home.
*Type. I was craving a cigarette when I came home. I came in and started typing this, and my craving has faded. Maybe I will write a book. LOL
*My wake up smoke, I will shower until the craving goes away.
*Chew gum, brush teeth, use white strips. Well, ok, the white strips only once a week, but still!
*Drink water. I need to drink water more anyway!

I know I can do this, and I can't wait for my husband to be able to kiss a non-smoker. I can't wait for my kids to not have to sit in the car an extra 5 minutes at Wal-Mart just so I can smoke before we go in. I can't wait to not have to freeze/sweat while I smoke outside! I can't wait to be the mom I know I can be without being a smoker!

  1. As the big sis....MUAH!!!!! Of course I still love you and I can't wait until I don't have to wait for you to smoke before going into Walmart! Or stand with the door cracked in freezing weather so I can stay warm and still talk to you while you smoke! Heehee!!
